COLUMBUS, Ohio—In partnership with Columbus City Schools, Memorial Baptist Church has been serving as the site of a Learning Extension Center this school year.

The purpose of the center, open three days a week from 8:30 a.m. to noon, is to support students in kindergarten through eighth grade with virtual learning, specifically students who don’t have access to the internet or have a difficult home learning environment. Students also hear a brief devotional at the start of the day and receive a free meal. Volunteers from the church monitor and help the students each day.

“What an exciting opportunity to share the love of Christ with kids in our community!” the church says.
