SANGER, Calif.—Ministry leaders from California met Jan. 18–20 at the scenic Wonder Valley Resort, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, for a Christian Workers’ Retreat. The retreat is an event of the California Association of Regular Baptist Churches for ministry leaders in its churches.

Those attending heard messages on “The Minister’s Walk with God” with speakers Chips Ross, pastor of Westwood Baptist Church in Fresno; Gregory Oliver, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Compton; Ron Graham, pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Visalia; and Bruce McLain, CARBC state representative. A ladies’ session was led by Jeanette Oliver, wife of Pastor Gregory Oliver, and Margie McLain, wife of Bruce McClain. Randal Pollard, pastor of Sierra Baptist Church in Newcastle, led morning prayer sessions.

“The retreat was a time of much-needed rest and relaxation, abundant laughter, penetrating messages from God’s Word, and joyful fellowship,” Bruce says.
