Have you ever tried to clear land that contained a large number of boulders? Pastor Isaiah in India did just that. Recently Chris Hindal, director of Regular Baptist International, told of this church planting pastor who needed a meeting place for his fledgling congregation. He purchased a piece of property on a rugged, rocky hillside and spent nine months breaking up boulders by hand to build a modest concrete church. This pastor’s determination, ingenuity, and perseverance add meaning to Paul’s words to Timothy: “If a man desires the position of a bishop [pastor], he desires a good work” (1 Timothy 3:1). Being a pastor takes a big heart but also calloused hands. This man’s labor inspires me to give my all to ministry. Read about other ministry endeavors in April’s E-Info.
