What to Be When I Grow Up?

By January 31, 2012July 16th, 2014No Comments

So what do you want to be? What major are you going to choose in college? What are your plans for the future?

These are common questions for seniors in high school, preparing to head off into the next adventure in life. Often our interests change. When we are young, we have aspirations of being the heroes who appear in our storybooks—some are real-life heroes, while others stretch the imagination! As we grow older, we may want to have the same careers as our parents or others we look up to. Then when we get to college, we might go through five different majors before picking the right one . . . and then end up in a career that is totally different!

One thing we know for sure is that wherever we are, and wherever we end up, we are commanded to serve God! Talents For Christ provides that opportunity. It instills the principle of hard work, creates confidence, and helps students learn to adapt on their feet. Beyond just the competition, these are valuable life skills necessary in the workplace and the church. So whether students become a light in a secular work environment or work in full-time ministry, TFC prepares them for a life of serving God!
