Shepherds Ministries receives grant check

UNION GROVE, Wis.—Shepherds College recently purchased an Automated External Defibrillator for the new Shepherds College residential buildings, funded by a $1,500 grant from the Union Grove Area Community Foundation. Foundation president Brian McMahon presented a check to William J. Amstutz, president of Shepherds Ministries.

“Shepherds is very grateful for this generous gift and interest that the Union Grove Area Community Foundation has for the health and safety of our clients and staff,” a spokesperson for the college said.

Shepherds College is a three-year, post-secondary educational program designed to assist young adults with intellectual disabilities in the successful transition from school to work and from home to independent living. The faith-based social agency is supported by many GARBC churches.

This program provides the additional life and career skills needed for these young people and their families to fulfill their dreams of meaningful careers, lives, and independence.
