VBS1NEBRASKA CITY, Neb.—Children attending Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church enjoyed a fun-filled week on “Arrow Island.” With the Arrow Island VBS program from Regular Baptist Press, the kids learned the importance of choosing God’s way through obeying Him in love, loving one another, forgiving one another, being faithful to God, and serving Him with their whole heart.

Each day brought new games, snacks, and crafts, along with visits from Feathers the puppet and a character named Tracker Jack who performed skits.

A fun addition to the week, says Susan Hunt, VBS craft teacher and church secretary, was a photo booth that resembled the pontoon plane pictured in the program’s materials.

VBS2Throughout the week the students donated their change to contribute to the VBS program’s missionary project, “Operation Bangladesh: Reaching Children for Christ.” Their donations will enhance the living conditions of the 150 students who attend and live at Hebron Christian School in Bangladesh. The project will give them clean water and new beds, and fund a new roof and improve the electricity in the building where they sleep.

During the closing program, where everyone viewed a slideshow and enjoyed a light lunch, the students learned that their offering totaled $344.73.

Susan says, “Pray with us that God will use the seed that has been planted this week in these young lives!”
