Dr. Scott Carroll, founder and executive director of the National Bible Museum in Texas, is coming to CrossRoad Baptist Church in Ames, Iowa, Nov. 12 and 13, for its Inspired Conference. Many people know the stories in the Bible, but the story of the Bible and how it came to be as it is today is something many don’t know. Questions Dr. Carroll will address include:

What’s the best translation?
Who decided what books made the cut into the Bible?
Why are the Dead Sea scrolls so important?
What exactly is the Torah, and how has it survived evil times?
Can we trust the Bible?

Emmanuel Baptist Church in Toledo will host the Renew Conference for women Nov. 4 and 5. Guest speaker Martha Peace will discuss topics including a high view of God, depression and anxiety, and the feminist influence.

The National Association of Regular Baptist Camps will hold its Camp Conference at Twin Lakes Camp in Hillsboro, Indiana, Nov. 7–10. Keynote speaker Jim Badke, author of The Christian Camp Counselor and The Christian Camp Leader, will lead four sessions on the theme “Disciples Make Disciples.” In addition, industry leaders will lead 20 workshops focusing on administration, programing, maintenance, food service, and more. An annual charity auction is one of the highlights of the conference. This year’s auction proceeds will assist ABWE’s Christian camp efforts in Romania by providing backpacking equipment that will be used for leadership development.
