The 2016 GARBC Conference has something to offer the whole family! Held in the beautiful facility of Harvest New Beginnings in Oswego, Illinois, the conference will offer families programming designed especially for each age group. MEN OF GOD CONFERENCE: MADE FOR WORSHIP
Calvary Baptist Church, Bellefontaine, Ohio, will host a Men of God conference on Saturday, March 5. Guest speaker Pastor Mark Smith of West Jefferson, Ohio, will focus on the theme “Made for Worship.” Each workshop is designed to support the theme of worship. Cost is $25; lunch and snacks will be provided. Registration is available online or by calling the church office at 937.599.4775. Professor Matthew Moore from Cedarville University will perform a dramatic presentation of the life of King David.

CONFERENCE: MEN MODELING THE MASTER
The Eastern Michigan Regional Association will sponsor Men Modeling the Master on Saturday, March 5 at South Baptist Church, Flint, Michigan. Cost is $15; lunch and snacks will be provided. Speaker Mel Walker, cofounder of Vision For Youth and vice president of Summit University, will focus on the theme “Intergenerational Ministry: Why Connecting the Generations Is Essential for the Church.” To preregister, send a check to Pastor Rick Yokel at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 22323 S. GRAND RAPIDS CHURCH MINISTRIES CONFERENCECMC 2016
“Behold Our God” is the theme of this year’s Church Ministries Conference sponsored by the Grand Rapids Association of Regular Baptist Churches. The conference will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Rapids on Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12.

Dr. Paul Nyquist, president of Moody Bible Institute, will be the keynote speaker. Dozens of practical workshops covering a variety of ministries will be a part of this popular conference. Register online.

CROSS-CULTURAL MINISTRY CLASS
“Preparing for Cross-cultural Ministry: Four Essential Skills” is a four-week course held in Grand Rapids led by Mark Sigmon, director of Global Impact Services, on Monday evenings, March 7, 14, 21, and 28.

The course includes:

  • Development of the four skill sets: becoming vertical, relational, cultural, and durable
  • Videos, interviews, and discussions

BAPTIST NETWORK NORTHWEST ANNUAL MINISTRY CONFERENCE
Pastor and author Larry Osborne of North Coast Church, Vista, California, will be the featured speaker for the Baptist Network Northwest Annual Ministry Conference April 7–9. The conference will be held at First Baptist Church, Bellevue, Washington. In society’s culture of shifting values that is increasingly hostile to Christianity, the Church Ministries Conference of the Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches will focus on an unshaken faith that has the answers to life. Carl Kerby, founding member of Reasons for Hope Ministry and apologetics presenter, will be the featured speaker April 8 and 9 at Northfield Baptist Church, Northfield Ohio. This training event is for all church ministry workers, not just leaders. It will feature challenging general sessions and practical workshops and exhibits—all to help workers become more excited and effective Christian servants.

MINISTER’S ENRICHMENT DAY
On April 5, Summit University of Pennsylvania will host Minister’s Enrichment Day, an event equipping ministry professionals, their spouses and others pursuing full-time ministry with valuable insights in how best to exegete culture biblically for ministry effectiveness. The event runs from 9 a.m.-3:15 p.m. in the Stowell Seminary Building on the university’s Clarks Summit Campus, featuring keynote speaker sessions and a selection of workshops.
