Pastor Think Tank: Supporting Nationals
Thursday, Sept. 16 10:00–11:00 a.m. CDT

We will be discussing issues regarding the support of nationals as part of the church’s missions budget. Much of the literature that deals with supporting national pastors or church planters notes the hazards—and for good reason. However, when comparing the financial support of five church planters for $500 a month to the financial support of one American for $5,000 a month, we realize the need to investigate this topic further. This is an issue every pastor needs to consider. Register now!

Peace-making Emphasis for Pastors

On Monday, Sept. 13, Byron Baptist Church, Byron, Mich., will host pastors for inspirational fellowship, centering on the theme “Building a Culture of Peace.” Pastor Dan Pugh of Montrose Baptist Church, Montrose, Mich., will lead the group in considering how to Build a Culture of Peace personally as pastors, within family units, and as a church. The Biblical instruction will consider both the negative and positive aspects of conflict, and will work through developing and providing leadership toward a vision for gospel-centered peacemaking. The program, which  will include a time for questions, think-tanking, and prayer, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is free of charge. A $3 donation is suggested for lunch. For inquiries, contact host pastor Tom Cooper: 810-266-4776, email: b_church@att.net.
