Meet Conference Speaker

Jerry Lancaster, pastor of Starkey Road Baptist Church, Seminole, Florida, will be a featured main session and workshop speaker on Wednesday, June 25, at the GARBC Conference. You will enjoy Jerry’s dynamic ministry of the Word and his warm-hearted manner. Since Jerry became pastor of Starkey Road Baptist Church in 1983, the Lord has used him to lead the church through six building programs, with the church growing in membership from sixty members to more than twelve hundred members. He is a frequent speaker on Radio Pulpit, WKES, and has co-authored, Jesus’ Celebration of Hanukkah in John 10 (Bibliotheca Sacra). He serves on the General Council of Baptist Mid-Missions and on the Board of the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism. Jerry, and his wife, Joy, have three married daughters.

Open and Group Competition

Youth groups, register for TFC National open and group competition (non-scholarship) by May 15. Gain ministry skills, enjoy friendships, and experience healthy competition with other youth groups across the country! Participate in the TFC competition at the Annual Conference in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, June 25.

Great Teen Program!

Excellent speakers—fun activities—friendship-building interaction—teens will find all of this and more at Students Alive!, a conference for 7th-12th graders held in conjunction with the GARBC Conference, June 24-27. Students Alive! encourages teens to serve God with their lives and to consider vocational ministry. This year’s conference speakers include Tom Webber, GARBC Navy Chaplain, Tim Snyder, Baptist Bible College Admissions Counselor, Pat Odle, Faith Baptist Bible College Vice-president and Chaplain, and John Greening, GARBC National Representative. A panel discussion on the topic of serving in vocational ministry by using talents and abilities will take place. A highlight of the week will be the Wednesday evening Youth Rally in which 400+ teens from around the country are expected to attend. All teens are invited!
