Putting Others First: April 2008

Honor a Deserving Saint!

Did you intend to nominate a servant for the GARBC Annual Service Award and never got around to doing so? You still have an opportunity! The deadline for submitting nominations is April 11. Send in your nomination of a worthy adult or teen who has exemplified humble, faithful service for the Lord through local church ministries. The world has no end of bad role models; promote a Godly role model for others to emulate!

Sister Churches Need Help

From California to Idaho, along the coast of Florida to Nebraska and stretching into Wisconsin, fellow Regular Baptist churches are asking for help. At this moment, one church plant and four existing churches need YOUR assistance. They are currently requesting a total of $75,000 of grants and loans from Baptist Builders Club to build church facilities. These requests truly stretch from coast to coast across the USA. To help, click here to find out more information and to donate on line or call Judy Emery, 1.888.588.1600, ext. 817.

Assisting Thai Believers

Two young ladies in Thailand work diligently to translate RBP Sunday School curriculum into Thai. They are passionate about getting the Word of God into the minds and hearts of the Thai children. The Gospel Literature Service (GLS) Luncheon held in conjunction with the GARBC Annual Conference will provide an opportunity to assist these ladies in this great work. The luncheon offering will enable us to provide them a computer and give each of them $100 a month support for this year. Goal: $2900. Sign up for the luncheon and plan to “put others first.”
