Haiti S.O.S.

Chris Hindal, GARBC international director, and Darrell Goemaat, GARBC photography director, recently returned from a trip to Haiti, visiting pastors and their families in the IPFBM as the pastors are seeking housing and places to hold church services in the aftermath of the earthquake.

Chris states, “It is time to prepare building teams.  Church buildings and pastors’ homes are either completely destroyed or so badly damaged as to be unsafe.  Pastors and congregations have been displaced. Pastors are living in tents with no place to turn.  It is time for the GARBC churches to step up and help.  We need churches to assemble work teams and bring money to buy building supplies.” Churches that can’t send teams are urged to take an offering and send a check payable to GLS, writing ‘Emergency Relief’ on the memo line or you may donate online. Contact Chris Hindal to reserve a week for your team. Pray for fellow pastors and wives in Haiti and watch for reports with photographs to appear on www.garbcinternational.org  and www.baptistbulletin.org, and in the Baptist Bulletin magazine.
