Relief Effort for Bangladesh Churches

Monsoon rains have produced mudslides in the Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. Reports from the Bangladesh Tribal https://www.garbc.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2012/07/Uttom1.jpgAssociation of Baptist Churches, the newest partner of the International Partnership of Fundamental Baptist Ministries, speak of many churches and homes having been swept away. Others lost their rice paddies and crops because of the mudslides. Though the government offers relief toward the damages, the churches and many of the people do not receive help because they are Christians. Funds are needed to purchase rice, oil, salt, oral saline packets, and more. Asai Tripura, Tribal Association president, attended the 2012 GARBC Conference June 25–29 and returned home as this devastation occurred.

Money for relief may be donated online at www.garbcinternational.org and designated “emergency relief,” or checks may be sent to:

Ministry Impact in Eastern Europe
Fifteen pastors will have the opportunity to accompany Chris Hindal, director of GARBC International Ministries, to the Ukraine Oct. 15–24. Will you be one of them?

Each pastor, along with a fellow pastor, will spend three days with a Ukrainian or Moldovan pastor, teach a class in the Christian Ministries Institute (translated into Russian), or preach in a Ukrainian church. This 10-day trip will help pastors discover effective and transferable methods for discipleship used in Ukraine and consider the possibility of partnering with Christian Ministries Institute. To reserve your spot or for more information, contact Chris Hindal, 224.234.7401. Experience the Bible Belt of Eastern Europe! This trip is hosted by Christian Ministries Institute, an ABWE-affiliated ministry committed to organizing local church–based Bible institutes to raise the Biblical literacy of each church.
