N.Y.C. Church Planter Expresses Thanks RobRodriguez-thumb

Assisting church planters is a special privilege as they work hard to establish Bible-believing churches in needy communities. Rob Rodriquez, lead pastor of CityView Baptist Church, Astoria, N.Y., who recently received a second year grant from Baptist Builders Club, writes:

Brothers and Sisters,
On behalf of CityView Church, I’m sending a HUGE “thank you” for approving the $10,000 second year grant from Baptist Builders Club’s church planting fund! We received the check this morning. It was a tremendous blessing! Please continue to pray for us. We’re gearing up for an attempt to launch this fall. These monies will be used to help us with outreach and get ready to launch by purchasing BIG things like sound equipment, chairs, etc. Thanks for helping us make “gospel noise!”

Responding to Natural DisastersBBC-Disaster-Relief-Logo1-150x150

Have you ever experienced the dilemma of wanting to help in a particular situation but not knowing what to do? When a natural disaster occurs, churches in nonaffected areas often express a desire to help sister churches that have suffered damage. Baptist Builders Club is seeking to deploy “Ready Now” teams that are prepared to jump right in when they arrive at a disaster site. Michael Nolan, director of Baptist Builders Club, is offering FREE training to church groups through the Regular Baptist Web Community. Grace Baptist Church in Emmetsburg, Iowa, was the first church to complete training and immediately went to work, assisting Bethel Baptist Church in Pierceton, Ind. Your church can be ready to help as well. Sign up for the “Emergency Assistance Training” Learning Lab (Sept. 25, Oct. 2 and 9 at 7 p.m. CDT ), sponsored by the Regular Baptist Web Community.
