AudioLegacy_inlline (2)Special Christmas Gift Project
This Christmas give a gift that will provide a valuable resource for churches and pastors. Activate the GARBC Audio Legacy! The GARBC Resource Center contains archival materials from men who have provided our association with rich history and vast knowledge and wisdom. Their testimonies and teachings enrich our lives today and provide guidance for the future. Due to the limited access of these reel-to-reel audio materials, the GARBC would like to make these archives available on the Internet. Your donation will help digitize a recording and make it available online! You may give your gift online or by mail: GARBC, Attn: Audio Legacy, 1300 North Meacham Rd., Schaumburg, IL 60173.

Operation Greeting Cards for Our TroopsChaplaincy-Logo
Operation Greeting Cards is an endeavor in which church members purchase greeting cards to send unmarked to our chaplains for distribution to deployed troops. This makes it possible for military members to send cards to their spouses, children, parents, extended family members, and friends. (Not many service members have cards for  birthdays, anniversaries, get-well wishes, Christmas greetings, etc., with them when they deploy.) If you and/or church members would like to participate, you can purchase assorted occasion cards and contact Chaplain Murdoch (jmurdoch@garbc.org) or his wife, Hope, (hmurdoch@garbc.org) for the current addresses of our chaplains. Next, you can ship the cards to our chaplains so they can make them available to the troops. John and Hope suggest a quick turnaround on this project, as cards should be mailed before the end of the year.

Fundamental Baptist Leaders Discussion RecapPlymouthMN_inline
Over 100 Baptists from Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin gathered in the fellowship hall of Fourth Baptist Church, Plymouth, Minn., for a panel discussion over lunch. The event was billed as “The Future of Baptist Fundamentalism: A Thoughtful Conversation between Baptist Brothers.” Panelists included John Greening, GARBC national representative; Kevin Bauder, Central Seminary research professor and Regular Baptist Press author; and USAF Chaplain Col. Mike Sproul, pastor of Tri-City Baptist Church, Chandler, Ariz., and a member of the executive board of the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship International. They were joined by host pastor Matt Morrell of Fourth Baptist Church, and Chris Anderson, hymnwriter, author, and pastor of Killian Hill Baptist Church, Lilburn, Ga. Brent Belford, an administrator at Central Seminary and member of the pastoral staff at Fourth, moderated the discussion.
