PRAYER EMPHASIS INCREASES OUR VISIONprayerchallenge_ad
Regular Baptist Church Planting’s 30-day prayer challenge, “From Our Knees,” is off to a good start. Prayer requests for week 1 focused on the unsaved and included daily prompts to pray for the salvation of neighbors, family members, and friends, and for people to come to Christ through church ministries. Participating in the prayer challenge not only focuses our thoughts on reaching others for Christ, but also encourages our spiritual development as individuals. It’s not too late to join this special emphasis of communing with God.

Continue to pray for all of our chaplains endorsed by Regular Baptist Chaplaincy. In particular, please pray for our military chaplains, as the Department of Defense has issued new policies regarding the accommodation of transgenderism. Pray that our chaplains will be strong. While they remain protected in being able to perform their duties consistent with our doctrine and beliefs, they will face greater challenges as these new policies are implemented. In addition to praying for our chaplains, you can also show your support by providing a gift for the chaplaincy ministry.

COUNCIL OF EIGHTEEN TO MEETCouncil_lead(4)
The Council of Eighteen will meet at the Regular Baptist Ministries Resource Center in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Nov. 14–16. Members of the council, elected by GARBC churches, shape the direction of the GARBC. They also  assist and encourage fellow church leaders as our churches seek to reach people for Christ and develop them in spiritual maturity. If you have questions or input regarding the GARBC, please feel free to contact a council member.

Even though we are not hearing too much on the news these days about the damages of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti, the southern peninsula was hit hard. In the impacted areas, the conditions are even worse than the earthquake of 2010. Thousands of people are in dire straits.hurricane_inline

Our partnering association in Haiti, Association des Eglises Evangeliques Baptiste Fondamentale d’ Haiti, with its 90 churches, has several churches that have been washed away or significantly damaged. Pastor Prédestin Hérard, president of the association, shares the following report:

  • Northwest: 10 churches destroyed
  • Northeast: 2 churches destroyed
  • Artibonite: 5 churches damaged
  • West: 10 churches damaged
  • South: 12 churches destroyed

In addition, more than 100 homes of church members have been damaged or destroyed. Donate now, as the needs are great. All donations will be distributed to these churches. If donating by check, write “emergency relief” on the memo line and send to Regular Baptist International, 3715 N. Ventura Dr., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Responding to brothers and sisters in need epitomizes Christian compassion as is commanded by Jesus. May God bless your generosity.

Regular Baptist Builders Club’s director and its board of administrators are preparing for their upcoming meeting to review applications of churches needing financial assistance. All three churches have renovation/expansion projects that would improve not only the look, but, most important, the functionality of their buildings. Please pray for these churches and the board of administrators as the applications are reviewed and decisions are made.

TFCtour_inlineTFC_LogoTHE BEST INVESTMENT FOR STUDENTS
It’s never too early to start investing. This common saying is true with teens’ gifts and abilities too. It’s never too early for teens to start using their talents to serve Christ. Help students in your church to plan now to compete in the 2017 Talents For Christ. As they hone their talents to prepare for competition, they will be making an eternal investment. Prompt them to use their gifts to show Christ to others, the best kind of investment!

Registration will be available online in January but can be downloaded and mailed in now:
