You Asked for It and Now It’s Here!
You asked for children’s curriculum in the New King James Version, and now it is here. With this Fall quarter, the 2s and 3s and Pre-Primary Sunday School curriculum is available in either the King James Version or the New king James Version.

These two departments feature

  • Planting FaithEasy-to-use interactive learning techniques
  • Vibrant kid-friendly art
  • Hands-on activities
  • Resource CD with patterns, music, action rhymes, bulletin board tips, and more
  • Great opportunities for parental involvement

The rest of the new children’s curriculum will be available in Fall 2008. Check out all the details today.

Equipping Students through Service

We are making some major changes in Talents For Christ to strengthen and improve the program and include more students.jessica-lafleur-wb.jpg
> Including 9th graders in Scholarship competition
> Initiating TFC Open, a non-scholarship division for students in grades 9-12
> Adding three new Open categories–art, digital media, and vocal duet

In addition, we are providing for a comprehensive participation packet for pastors and youth leaders.

Online information and registration will be available in December. Start talking to the students in your church about becoming involved in TFC this year.

Pray for Persecuted Christians
Persecution of Christians is still a reality in many countries. November 11 has been designated as the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Take time in your service next Sunday to pray for persecuted Christians. Visit Closed Door Ministries for helpful information.

Pray for the Council of Eighteen
Please pray for the Council of Eighteen as its meets at the Regular Baptist Ministries Resouce Center November 12-14. These men, along with the GARBC administrative staff, make plans for advancing the work of the Fellowship.

Keep Up to Date
Look forward to the December issue of The Baptist Bulletin featuring articles on witnessing to Jehovah Witnesses and the 300th anniversary of the birth of Charles Wesley. In addition, you will find an interview with NASA astronaut Douglas Wheelock (who grew up in a GARBC church) and a 75th anniversary article by Ernest Pickering.
