JOHN GREENING TO RETIRE, SEARCH COMMITTEE FORMED
John Greening has announced his plans to retire as GARBC national representative no earlier than June 2018. The Council of Eighteen has formed a National Representative Search Committee, which has begun working to present a national representative candidate to the messengers at the 2018 GARBC Annual Conference. This plan is contingent not only on the diligent effort of the search committee but also on the will of God.

On the National Representative Search website, you will find announcement letters, the GARBC National Representative Ministry Profile, national representative survey/comment and recommendation forms, information updates, and the search committee personnel. For your convenience, a link to the NR Search website can be found at www.garbc.org. Please pray that God will give clear guidance to the search committee.

REGULAR BAPTIST CHURCH PLANTING UPDATE
Clare Jewell, national church planting coordinator for Regular Baptist Churches, gives the following update about Regular Baptist Church Planting. “As we move toward September, our primary goal is to establish 10 regional hub churches to help plant and revitalize Regular Baptist churches across the country. These churches will help develop partnerships to start churches within their region while also identifying churches that need help to reengage in God’s mission to make disciples. They will also be host churches for internships designed to equip leaders to plant and revitalize churches.”

Please pray for this effort, and give as generously as possible. Donate online, by phone, or by mail. For online or check donations, note “church planting.” Join the effort of multiplying Christ’s church in America! For further information, contact Clare Jewell.

TWO CHURCHES RECEIVE GRANTS
Regular Baptist Builders Club announces that two Regular Baptist churches received grants this summer for maintenance and remodeling projects. Administrators awarded a $15,000 grant to Immanuel Baptist Church, Columbus, Ohio, for repair of its west parking lot. Pastor Brad Rickard says, “The church is praising God for what will be our newly renovated parking lot! Already in September, an outreach is planned which will involve a pharmacy ministry team from Cedarville University, multiple community services, and an Awana presence . . . all outside on our new lot for a meaningful Community Day impact. Thank you, Baptist Builders Club, for your part!”

In addition, administrators awarded a $10,000 grant and a $10,000 loan to Calvary Baptist Church in Anaheim, California, for the updating and remodeling of its bathrooms. Calvary Pastor Chris Warner says, “The need is critical because the sanctuary bathrooms are original construction and with rotting floors and pipes. The toilets no longer work and the women’s bathroom is closed down. Words cannot describe how blessed we are at CBC to receive this grant from the GARBC.” Two other churches are currently being considered for financial assistance.

OARBC CALLS CHUCK PAUSLEY AS REPRESENTATIVE
The Ohio Association of Regular Baptist Churches has called Chuck Pausley as its new state representative. “We are thrilled to have Chuck and Linda as our state rep couple, and they will begin their new ministry on Aug. 1,” says David Culver, chairman of the OARBC Council of Twelve.

Chuck and Linda Pausley have been in pastoral ministry for 39 years. They served as pastor and wife at Grace Baptist, Troy, Ohio, from 1978 to 1994; Willow Creek Baptist, West Des Moines, Iowa, from 1994 to 2007; and Bethany Baptist, Avon Park, Florida, from 2008 until the present. In addition to his role as pastor, Chuck has served on various Regular Baptist councils at the local, state, and national level and has been a council member for four mission agencies, including Baptist Church Planters.

INCOMING CHURCHES TO GARBC FELLOWSHIP!
Voting messengers at the 2017 GARBC Conference welcomed several churches into Regular Baptist Churches: Green Mountain Baptist Church in Center Rutland, Vermont; Heritage Multicultural Baptist Church in Quincy, Washington; Iglesia Biblica La Roca in Hayward, California; Involved Church in Nampa, Idaho; and Shiloh Baptist Church in Bowie, Maryland. We welcome independent Bible-teaching churches to fellowship in the association.

NEWLY UPDATED GARBC BROCHURE NOW AVAILABLE
A newly updated brochure describes the ministries of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches and how those ministries benefit churches. This colorful, friendly booklet will help church members and newcomers answer the question, What is the GARBC and how does it function? They will learn that through networking, churches can accomplish great things in ministry. Keep booklets on hand in your church. Order your copies.
