BeingBaptist-inlineNew RBP Resources for Strengthening the ChurchJesus_ThreePortraits_inline
Regular Baptist Press continues to add to its new line of adult curriculum called Truth for Living. Being Baptist: Distinctives That Matter is the perfect course for churches wanting to help their learners understand what it means to be Baptist. And RBP’s latest course, Jesus: Three Portraits, One Story provides a snapshot of each of the synoptic Gospels as well as the life of Christ. RBP produces five adult curriculum courses a year, giving churches plenty of options to meet their ministry needs. Look for Current Culture: A Biblical Understanding and Response coming out in April. It will examine cultural issues from a Biblical perspective. All adult curriculum student books can be used as stand-alone studies, making them perfect for small groups or even individual use. And of course, RBP continues to present all of God’s Word without compromise.

Chaplaincy-LogoUpdate on Chaplains: Praise and Prayer
Chaplains Bill Gasser and Jeremiah Cates are safely home from their deployment in Afghanistan. Praise the Lord for giving them incredible ministry opportunities. (Read about their deployments in “Chaplain Bill Gasser Returns Home from Afghanistan” and “Welcome Home, Chaplain Jeremiah Cates.“) Thank you for praying. Please remember them as they begin new ministries.

Three other chaplains are preparing for deployment in the near future. Chaplains Michael Crawford and Jeffery Farr will be involved in America’s efforts to assist Africa in its Ebola crisis through Operation Enduring Assistance, and Chaplain John Jensen is preparing to head to the Middle East. Please pray for these men and their families as they prepare. In this changing environment, deployment may or may not happen, but the emotional and physical preparation of deployment remains. Your prayer support is vital to the success of the mission whether on U.S. soil or foreign.

Represent Your Region: Council of Eighteen Nominations
Your church’s participation matters—our association is guided by the churches and for the churches. Represent your area of the country by submitting nominations of candidates for the Council of Eighteen. You may submit Council of Eighteen nominations on the form included in the GARBC packet that arrived at your church recently. Or download a nomination form or nominate online. Make a difference—nominate candidates!

Church Directory Update
Has your church e-mail address changed? Does your church have a new web address? Has a new pastor joined your staff? A GARBC information packet was sent to churches recently, which included a church directory update form. If you do not have that form, please e-mail an update to garbc@garbc.org. Feel free to send changes whenever they occur. Let’s work together by making it easy to contact one another as sister churches!
