2013 GARBC Conference: “Renew Our Strength”
Online registration is now open for the 2013 GARBC Conference! Whether you are experiencing fruitful or barren days, ministry takes much physical, mental, and emotional energy. We all need to take time to call out to the Lord, “Renew our strength!” Come to Dearborn, Mich., June 24–28 and experience rejuvenation on a personal and ministry level as we meditate on the Lord’s renewal. Sign up today.

Church-Planting Buzz
Meet with colleagues online monthly to discuss issues affecting church planters, to share ministry know-how, to offer prayer support and personal encouragement, and to enjoy camaraderie. Discussion centers on topics such as improving visitor return ratios, assimilating, newcomers, getting beyond closed apartments, overcoming preconceived expectations, new believer discipleship, increasing church finances, use of missions teams, developing church prayer, contextualization, and accessing resources. This cohort is for church planters, those interested in future church planting, and missions leaders. Next session is Thursday, Feb. 14. E-mail Scott Greening to participate or to inquire.

“I find it refreshing and helpful to hear how others are taking the same gospel message but applying it in cultural contexts that are different than my own. The time together sharpens me as I continue to seek the Lord for wisdom in reaching others.”
—William, pastoral cohort participant

Talents For Christ: Developing Teens for Service

Council of 18 Nominations and Church Directory Update
A GARBC information packet was sent to churches recently. Inside that packet you will find the 2013 Conference brochure, which includes the Council of Eighteen nomination form (also available online). In addition, you will find a church directory update form. Please complete these two forms and return them to the GARBC Resource Center. Your church’s participation matters—our association is by the churches for the churches!
