A Big Thank-You!

Praise! A special thank-you to the following churches for increasing their financial support of the Association:

Germantown Hills Baptist Church, Metamora, Illinois, Pastor Robert Fields
Memorial Baptist Church, Verona, Wisconsin, Pastor Craig Jarvis
Open Bible Baptist Church, Orange City, Florida, Pastor Paul Youmans

We appreciate their help as we provide training, resources, and encouragement to churches in the GARBC!

Praise! Another special thank you to Pastor J.O. Purcell and the Tri County Baptist Church, Lady Lakes, Florida, for subscribing to the Baptist Bulletin for a team of 70! You made our day!

Jump In! Talents For Christ is Ready!

There’s something for every student in Talents For Christ (TFC)! Is a computer geek in your youth group? TFC Open Competition includes digital media. Is there an artist in the crowd? If so, encourage that student to enter the art open competition. Get the whole youth group involved! Group open competitions include large and small group vocal ensembles, vocal duets, puppet teams, and drama teams. Those students who have special talent can register for TFC Scholarship Competition to earn $$ for Bible college tuition. Don’t delay-sign up now! Open competition students register with their own state. Scholarship competition students can register online; March 1, 2008 is the scholarship competition deadline.

Baptist Bulletin Highlights

Don’t miss the March/April issue of the Baptist Bulletin! Jim Vogel, associate GARBC national representative, addresses church conflicts in Leader’s Digest. Also you will find a fascinating article on the impact of the falling dollar on missionary budgets, an update on state campaigns for gay marriage, and a cover story on the Baptist distinctives. And just for fun, a profile of eight ministry leaders who lost Talents For Christ (yes, the losers). Have you seen the Baptist Bulletin lately?
