Help the GARBC in its leadership search. Your church may nominate men for the Council of 18. Council elections will be held this June at the Annual Conference. But hurry… the deadline is April 11th! Young Pastors Lead the Way
If a March 14th meeting at the GARBC Resource Center is any indication, the future of the Association is in good hands. A group of young Baptist leaders within the GARBC participated in a think tank hosted by Jim Vogel and John Greening. The purpose of the group’s interaction was to develop a strategic plan to minister to younger pastors and integrate them into active participation in the GARBC. The lively and candid discussion focused on assessing the current situation and need in the GARBC, identifying specific ideas for future ministry, prioritizing ideas, and establishing implementation plans. Interest among young pastors group is expanding; many have joined the GARBC-General Association of Regular Baptist Churches group on Facebook.com. Young pastors are planning to get together during the Annual Conference in Cedar Rapids, Iowa June 24-27. Why not join them (if you are age appropriate)!
