Biography of Dr. Jim Vogel (cont.)

Dr. Vogel has served in various leadership positions in his approximately 30 years of pastoral work. While in New York, he directed the state Talents For Christ program for six years and served on the Council of Ten of the Empire State Fellowship of Regular Baptist Churches. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Baptist Bible College for over 20 years and served on the Council of Eighteen of the GARBC. Through the years of his ministry, Jim has been a guest speaker/presenter at various local, state and national GARBC conferences as well as college chapels and camps. He has taught national pastors in Moscow through the Moble Modular Ministry of Evangelical Baptist Mission and led short term mission trips to other parts of the world. He also has written articles published in local and state Regular Baptist papers and the Baptist Bulletin.
In 1978 he married the former Jeannie Harris from Flint, Michigan, Jeannie also graduated from Baptist Bible College and has always complimented Jim’s ministry through active involvement in children’s and women’s ministries in the churches in which they have served together. She is a popular women’s speaker and has published a Bible study book with Regular Baptist Press. Together, Jim and Jeannie lead marriage seminars and retreats.
Jim and Jeannie have five children: Nathan, 26, living and working in Nashville; Heather, 23, teaching as a grad assistant on the faculty of Baptist Bible College; Karis, 20, a senior at Baptist Bible College; Megan, 18, graduating from high school next year; and Matt, 15, a high school student.
