EXCELLENT SESSIONS FOR YOU IN FEBRUARY AND MARCH!

HD (High Def) Preaching—Learning Lab
Instructors: John Greening, Regular Baptist Churches National Representative
Randy Cook, pastor of First Baptist Church, Meridian, Idaho

The Bible is a remarkably engaging book filled with stories, drama, and word pictures divinely designed to convey its message. Preaching that does not follow the Bible’s technique but instead ticks out content in a drab and abstract manner does not achieve its powerful potential. This Learning Lab will help you see the possibilities of preaching in “High Definition,” using imagery, metaphors, stories, and the common language of your audience to help your messages come alive.
Three Thursdays: Feb. 16, 23, and March 2
11:00 a.m. ET/10:00 a.m. CT/9:00 a.m. MT/8:00 a.m. PT

Equipping Your Teaching Staff
—Learning Lab

Instructor: Don Anderson, Christian Educator and Regular Baptist Press Assistant Editor

An important component of your pastoral role is “equipping the saints for the work of the ministry” (Eph. 4:12). A significant number of your church’s members are involved in its teaching ministry. In this Learning Lab we will focus on how you as the pastor can equip the teachers of your church, especially your Sunday School teachers. Your teachers are also involved in equipping their students, so in essence we will explore how to “equip the equippers.”

Updating and Rewriting Your Church’s Articles of Faith
—Learning Lab
Instructor: david_mappesDr. David Mappes, Associate Professor, Baptist Bible Seminary

Society is becoming increasingly hostile to Christianity. Our faith and beliefs can be put on trial both in a community sense and in a legal sense. Having articles of faith that accurately reflect your church will help protect your church from spiritual and legal attacks. This Learning Lab will help you as a ministry leader evaluate and update your church’s articles of faith. It will give you steps to prioritize and revise this doctrinal statement while developing leadership and church consensus.

Three Thursdays: March 2, 9, and 16
3:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. CT/1:00 p.m. MT/12:00 p.m. PT
