Sharon Day, Pastor’s Wife

Day_inlineBRAINERD, Minn.—Sharon Day, a devoted pastor’s wife and nurse, died July 30. She was 71.

Sharon graduated from West Suburban School of Nursing in Oak Park, Illinois, on Aug. 25, 1966, and married Max Day two days later. The Days lived in Owatonna, Minnesota, for one year while Max finished school and then moved to Minneapolis, where she worked as a registered nurse at North Memorial Hospital while Max attended seminary.

Following seminary, Max and Sharon moved to Janesville, Wisconsin, where she worked as a registered nurse for five years. She also worked in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, for eight years before living in Champlin, where Max pastored and she was director of nursing at Maranatha Nursing Home in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. In 2006 they moved to Brainerd, where Max is associate pastor.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Max; five children, Lori Dredge, Tim, Holly Williams, Amy Struck, and Jeremy; and 13 grandchildren.

A service will be held on Friday, Aug. 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, Brainerd, Minnesota. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 4, at Faith Baptist Church, 5:00–8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
