SEBRING, Fla.—Dale Earl Moore, a pastor, died Jan. 18. He was 83.

Dale worked at The General Tire and Rubber Company for 20 years before pursuing ministry. He enrolled in Clarks Summit University and then served as pastor of First Baptist Church of Elimsport, Allenwood, Pennsylvania, for seven years and First Baptist Church, Randolph, New York, for 13 years.

In 2003 he and his wife, Marie, moved to Maranatha Village, Sebring, Florida. That same year he was commissioned as a missionary with Baptist Church Planters. He helped plant churches in Florida, New Hampshire, and Maine.

In its Spring 2019 Connect newsletter, Baptist Church Planters said that Dale and Marie “exemplify S.A.L.T.”—”Senior Adults Living Triumphantly.”

“‘Serve the Lord with gladness’ [Psalm 100:2] is being lived out even in retirement years for them.”

Dale is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie; two children, Tina Rizzo and Don; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
