OLYMPIA, Wash.—Sue Lunsford, a pastor’s wife who most recently served with the Baptist Network Northwest, died on Feb. 29.

Sue served with her husband, David, in ministry since 1978, the year they graduated from Corban University. She served alongside him as he was pastor of youth and music at Nooksack Valley Baptist Church, Everson, Washington; a home missionary in Boardman, Oregon, with Northwest Baptist Home Mission; pastor of Southcenter Community Baptist Church, Tukwila, Washington; and pastor of First Baptist Church, Ferndale, Washington. David has been executive director of the Baptist Network Northwest since 2016.

“Sue was such a great asset in ministry with Dave!” says Sam Farlow, a member of the GARBC Council of Eighteen, who recalls Sue’s sense of humor and gift for counseling women.

Sue and David also enjoyed serving together at camps and conferences and ministering to missionaries and nationals in countries outside the US.

“Sue had a shining testimony of love for Christ, her husband, family, and the gospel,” says Mike Hess, GARBC national representative.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, David, and their three children.
