Ruth Robb, Pastor’s Wife

SALEM, Ohio.—Ruth Virginia Robb, pastor’s wife, died Dec. 10. She was 87.

Ruth graduated from Practical Bible Training School, Johnstown City, N.Y., in 1947. She was a pastor’s wife, serving with her husband, Fred, at Calvary Bible Church, Deckers Point, Pa. (1949–1955); Calvary Baptist Church, DeRuyter, N.Y. (1955–1963); First Baptist Church, Sherman, N.Y. (1963–1972); and Calvary Baptist Church, Salem, Ohio (from 1972 until his retirement in 1997).

Ruth was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Salem, where she taught Sunday School and children’s church.

Fred preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2009, after 61 years of marriage.

Survivors include seven daughters, Marcia Salzman, Luann Nicholas, Dawna Henslin, Gayle Cole, Sherrie Tanner, Lori Skiba, and Lynette Brown; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, at Calvary Baptist Church, Salem, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00  to 9:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Castle View Memorial Gardens in New Castle, Pa.
