Alaska Baptist Church, Caledonia, Michigan, has called Mike Myers as pastor. He was previously pastor of Faith Baptist Church, Winfield, Illinois, since 2017.
Mike began serving at Alaska Baptist on Sunday, May 7. The congregation was excited to welcome him and his wife, Kristen, as the church had been searching for a pastor for more than a year.
During that time without a pastor, the church took the opportunity to remodel its offices, particularly the pastor’s office. The project involved removing paneling, installing drywall, replacing picture windows with windows that open, and adding a window to a wall of the assistant’s office that previously had no windows. “The functioning windows will offer fresh air in all the offices in the spring and summer,” the church says.
Mike, who holds an MMin from Baptist Bible Seminary and is a certified Biblical counselor, says he is “passionate about preaching and teaching God’s Word and helping people grow and change into the image of Christ.”
