Men’s Adventure Encourages Men to Be Leaders

By March 9, 2023One Comment

Men ages 5–95 attended “Take the Lead,” the Northeast Fellowship’s Men’s Adventure, February 17–18. Central Baptist Church, Binghamton, New York, hosted the event, which encouraged men in their leadership roles.

“God designed men on purpose and for a purpose,” the Northeast Fellowship says. That purpose includes leadership at home. But an even greater purpose, the Northeast Fellowship says, is spiritual leadership: leading by example at church and leading others to Christ beyond the church.

“Speaker Toby Locke hammered home the leadership theme through powerful messages about grappling with passivity, having a battle plan, and dealing with the backlash,” says Brian King, executive director of the Northeast Fellowship. Toby is pastor of First Baptist Church, Horseheads, New York.

Workshops addressed topics including being the worship leader in one’s family, leading by reading, leading without being asked, and handling temptation.

Seven men decided to pursue full-time Christian ministry.
