Ministry to Less Fortunate Moms and Children
The following ministry idea is from Saylorville Baptist Church, Des Moines, Iowa:
A team of church moms sponsor Wee Ones Care & Share program, an annual evangelistic outreach designed to meet the physical and spiritual needs of less fortunate women and their children. Several Des Moines area churches participate, along with the sponsorship of local businesses. This type of outreach can be an effective tool for sharing Christ during the current economic downturn. Read more in Baptist Bulletin.
Stories Wanted: Reaching Out in Hard Financial Times
Our editorial team is looking for stories about churches and individual believers who are reaching out with support to those affected by the current economic crisis. If you know of a situation where Christ’s love is being shared to help meet needs, please submit the story below:

Women’s Ministry Email List
A note from Jeannie Vogel, RBP Women’s Ministries Consultant:
Pastor’s wives and women’s ministry leaders are invited to join our new Women’s Ministry e-mail list. I will be sending information periodically that pertains specifically to women; i.e., ideas for outreach, reviews of new Bible studies, ideas on missionary groups, brief synopsis about what churches across the country are doing in women’s ministry, etc. If you are interested, please send me an e-mail and if possible, attach a photo of yourself. I would like to pray for you and your ministry. Since I don’t know all of you personally, it would help if I could visualize you (and your family) when I pray for you. Also, if your church has a leadership team for women’s ministry, I would love to include them on this list as well. It is great to partner together to accomplish things for the Lord!

Terrific Conference June 22-26!
Plan now to attend the 2009 GARBC Annual Conference in Elyria, Ohio. A great lineup of workshops and speakers are scheduled for this year’s theme, Cutting Straight, 2 Timothy 2:15. We are privileged to be guests of First Baptist Church for the Conference. Plan now to attend. For more information, see the Annual Conference website.
TFC: Developing Teens for Ministry
Talents For Christ (TFC) provides a wonderful opportunity for teens to develop confidence and skills for serving the Lord. Teens can participate as individuals or as part of a group in scholarship or open (non-scholarship) competitions at state and national levels. Group competition fosters camaraderie among youth group members and with youth groups across the country. Check out the new open category–instrumental ensemble. Don’t delay in registering your teens; deadline for scholarship competition is March 2.
