For more information, contact Scott Greening.
Opening Doors to the Community
Churches in the Association have opened their doors to their communities and have created opportunities to share the gospel by hosting efforts such as blood donation drives and ESL classes. Another possibility for establishing an outreach is by hosting a Memory Care Connection (Alzheimer’s Foundation of America). One in ten Americans age 65 or older and nearly half of those 85 or older are stricken with Alzheimer’s disease. If you have a qualified health care professional such as a physician, nurse practitioner, or social worker in your church who is willing to administer memory screenings, your church may offer free screenings to residents in your community. You can also use the time to let the community know about your church’s services through an information card.

Equip Your Church to Evangelize
Pete Mothershead, veteran Regular Baptist pastor, is now engaged in helping churches evangelize through his Balanced Evangelism seminars. Pete has spent 40 years developing this material and training individuals in Balanced Evangelism. His basic seminar begins with the topics of how to become a natural effective witness and how to conquer fear in witnessing. His advanced seminar focuses on the theology of evangelism, how to become a fruitful witness, and how to implement Balanced Evangelism in churches to disciple individuals to become witnesses for Christ. His final seminar focuses on equipping lay leaders in the church who can teach evangelism as well as develop evangelistic ministries within the church. Contact Pete at 1-661-645-4643 to talk about bringing his helpful seminar to your area.

Acquaint Your Church with the National Representatives
Help your church members learn more about the GARBC by letting them hear messages from each of our national representatives–H. O. Van Gilder, Robert T. Ketcham, Paul R. Jackson, Joseph M. Stowell II, Paul N. Tassell, Mark E. Jackson, and John R. Greening. For our 75th anniversary, we have produced a CD collection featuring messages from all these men. Consider playing a message from a National Representative and then sharing a brief bio about that speaker (information available in Quest for Faithfulness by Paul Tassell.) Listen online to a brief excerpt from Dr. Ketcham, Dr. Stowell, and Dr. Tassell. For a gift of $75 you can get this valuable collection. All proceeds go to assist the ministry of the GARBC to the churches. Order online or by calling 1-800-727-4440. Order a set for your church and let your people listen to these excellent messages.
A New TEAM Member
Many thanks to Pastor Lonnie Jacobson and the Faith Baptist Church of Sequim, Washington, for subscribing to The Baptist Bulletin through the TEAM plan. Individuals in your church can subscribe to the Baptist Bulletin for less than 70 cents per copy by ordering through TEAM. Contact Lynne Goemaat for more information on discount plans. Help your church learn about the good things that are happening in the Association!
“I Will Build My Church”
Over the last 75 years GARBC churches have played a significant role in the Lord’s work of building His church. Join hundreds of Regular Baptists June 26-29 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, as we focus our thoughts on Christ’s church. You will find full Conference information online and in the Conference booklet sent last month. Contact the GARBC Ministry Resource Center, 1-888-588-1600, ext. 873, for more information.

Equipping Students through Service
TFC competitors are godly, talented, ministry-oriented students. Many of them are at the top of their classes in their high schools. These students deserve our support and encouragement. Several states have already had their state competitions. The remaining competitions take place this month. The first- and second-place group and individual winners are looking forward to the national competition on June 27 and 28 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
