Pastor Don LeMaster, Brooklyn, N.Y., thanks you for your prayers on his behalf during his recent round of surgeries. On July 14 he had lung surgery to remove a cancerous sarcoma from his right lung and then on Sept. 2 he had surgery to remove a pituitary tumor. He is able to eat a little better each week. Gwen has had her surgery site aspirated twice where a benign chest wall mass was removed. Please continue to their recovery.

Dale Schatz, pastor of Heritage Baptist Church, Bella Vista, Arkansas, and representative of the Ozark Association of Regular Baptist Churches, will undergo surgery on Tuesday, August 25, for a large mass in the colon that the doctor believes to be malignant. Dale’s wife, Gwen, had a lump removed from the outer chest wall on August 20. Gwen’s surgery went well and it is anticipated that the lump was benign. This prayer update is from Pastor Dan and Linda Johnson, regarding their twelve-year-old son, Ryan, who is recovering from a diabetic coma.
Ryan is gaining strength, walking with assistance, and able to read, write, and do math problems. His memory is good and improving. Although his rate of moving is slow, his motor skills are improving and he is able to tie his shoes, do buttons, and other similar tasks. Numerous doctors and nurses call Ryan a miracle. God is using Ryan’s experience to dramatically change lives. Thanks again for the faithful, effective prayers of God’s people.
