Revival Event Sees Many Make Decisions for Christ

SunCoast_inlineNEW PORT RICHEY, Fla.—Sun Coast Baptist Church is rejoicing in a successful revival. The church invited evangelist Tom Farrell to speak during services spanning four days. “When it came to responding to the gospel, we had people in every service either raise their hand, come forward, or talk with our evangelist as they exited,” says Pastor Bryan Goebert.

In all, 13 people made salvation decisions, three rededicated their lives to God, and two indicated they were assured of their salvation. “It was an exciting time for our church!” says secretary Brenda Johns.

In addition to sharing the gospel with unbelievers, Farrell challenged believers regarding their walk with Christ, faithfulness to the church, and faithfulness in sharing the gospel.

“Our evangelist did the work God had for him to do as he faithfully preached the gospel,” Goebert says. “We carry on that task from here. I pray God will continue to bless and bring lost souls to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through the faithful efforts of His people.”

To further the congregation’s challenge to share the gospel, Sun Coast Baptist Church will host a Good Soil Evangelism and Discipleship Seminar April 30. The four-hour seminar is based on the books Gaining Ground with Good Soil by Gil Thomas and The Story of Hope.
