missions_inlineORANGE CITY, Fla.—Open Bible Baptist Church embarked on a missions trip to Nicaragua to help and encourage ABWE missionaries Bruce and Laura Edgar. The team, led by Pastor Paul Youmans and Youth Pastor Josh King, conducted Vacation Bible Schools in two small churches in Sebaco and Diriamba in which the Edgars minister.

The Edgars say VBS “had a great impact on the kids and the church members alike.” Youmans also spoke at a church service, and the team led a Bible study there.

In heading up missions trips, Youmans always emphasizes the goals: “to provide experience and exposure to the world of missions for our church members, to encourage and assist our missionaries and their families, to edify and encourage the believers on that field, and to evangelize the lost as we have opportunity.” The entire team returned giving God the glory for helping them fulfill these goals.

“This group is an example of why we love teams!” the Edgars say. The couple thanks Open Bible Baptist Church “for sharing your time, talent, and love of Christ with your Nicaraguan brothers and sisters.”
