JASPER, Ind.—Crosspoint Fellowship Church, in partnership with individuals and businesses, hosted a golf scramble in honor of their community’s volunteer fire and police departments. Participants enjoyed a round of golf, a meal, and prizes, netting a $1,000 donation to the fire department. Missionary Lucas Bair presented the gospel and highlighted the truth that even rescuers need to be rescued.

David King, pastor of Crosspoint Fellowship Church, says, “Every community is made great by the men and women who make it their goal to serve, protect, and better their neighbor. Our church wanted to find a way to partner with our community to honor the public servants of Dubois County.”

The church plans to repeat the golf scramble next year to honor teachers or veterans.
