Brown Street Baptist Church Installs Greg Linscott as Pastor

ALTON, Ill.—Brown Street Baptist Church has called Greg Linscott as pastor. The church formally installed him during a service on Feb. 11.

Linscott earned a BA from Faith Baptist Bible College and an MMin from Baptist Bible Seminary. He comes to Brown Street from First Baptist Church, Marshall, Minnesota, where he served for the last decade. During his tenure there, the church established a large-scale ministry with S’gaw Karen refugees from Burma and entered into dual affiliation with the Minnesota Baptist Association and the Minnesota Association of Regular Baptist Churches. Previously Linscott was pastor of Faith Baptist Church, Skowhegan, Maine, and Altoona (Iowa) Regular Baptist Church.

During the installation service, Ken Fields, pastor of Delhi Baptist Church, Jerseyville, Illinois, delivered the charge to the pastor, and Bernie Augsburger, state representative of the Illinois-Missouri Association of Regular Baptist Churches, led the pastor and congregation in a covenant of commitment and offered a prayer of dedication.
