SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—“A bike for Pastors Jonathan and Gonpa is a joy to my heart,” says Pastor Sam Quapourlee, director of the African Fundamental Baptist Mission, Monrovia, Liberia.

Children at summer Vacation Bible Schools gave more than $27,000 to purchase bikes and books for international pastors. The money was given through Gospel Literature Services, part of the 2009 Polar Extremes Vacation Bible School curriculum produced by Regular Baptist Press. Many of these gifts were given in the form of pennies, nickels, and dimes that the students brought for their VBS offering.

“Pastor Gonpa received his motorcycle with the funds you sent,” Pastor Quapourlee says. “I will always remain grateful to you for your deputation on our behalf which has brought immense results to our church planting ministry. . . . However, our prayers go for Pastor Lawrence Sumo who is in the northern end of Lofa who also needs a bike. Once our pastors can move easily around I believe they will reach many with the sound Gospel of salvation, the task commended by our Lord.”

Pastor John Victor Sakile of New Life Regular Baptist Society, Andhra Pradesh, India, also expressed appreciation for the offerings. “I praise the Lord for your kind help to buy a motorcycle to help us to use in my ministry. This is the Lord’s grace to us to bless us more and more in His presence. Once again He proves His will about us. His grace is always amazing and enables me to do my work more effectively and more faith fully to get more souls for Christ.”

Many churches using RBP’s 2010 SeaQuest program have supported a similar project at their Vacation Bible Schools this summer. The current effort raises money for Operation Love, building a home for an orphanage in Kenya supported by local Baptist churches affiliated with the International Partnership of Fundamental Baptist Ministries.
