ALTON, Ill.—Brown Street Baptist Church eagerly welcomes Aaron Love as its new pastor. Aaron and Elizabeth Love accepted the call to serve in June. Since that time, Brown Street Baptist has been anticipating and preparing for their arrival.
Aaron received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biblical studies from Maranatha Baptist University, as well as a partial MDiv from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary.
Brown Street Baptist installed Love as pastor with a special day of services on Sept. 14. Bernie Augsburger, state representative of the Illinois-Missouri Association of Regular Baptist Churches, and Mark Love, Aaron’s father and a pastor in Connecticut, were both on hand to encourage and challenge Aaron and Elizabeth in their new ministry. The church also hosted a luncheon to celebrate the occasion.
“I am excited about serving the Lord as the pastor of Brown Street Baptist Church,” Love says. “My desire is to encourage, edify, and assist others in becoming more like Christ to the glory of God.”
Brown Street Baptist Church is pleased to recognize Love as its next pastor. This is a new chapter in the church’s history, and the congregation looks forward to what the future holds.
