MINISTERIAL APPRENTICE PROGRAM
Maynard Belt, veteran pastor and former Michigan Association of Regular Baptist Churches representative, has authored a course for ministerial students to help prepare them for pastoral ministry. Maynard explains, “The purpose of this course is to give ministerial students a preliminary view of pastoral ministry from a practical perspective . . . [and give them] helpful insights that are not always taught in present day seminary curricula. Ministry is people, and the closer we can get to them, the more effective we will be in serving them spiritually. Pastors are servant leaders.” This practical preparation will be beneficial to those recognizing God’s special call upon their lives for vocational ministry. To learn more about the course, contact Maynard Belt at mhbelt@sbcglobal.net or 616.361.2396.

CHURCH SAFETY PREPAREDNESS
With the concern for public safety on the rise, Chaplain John Murdoch and Chaplain Laird Baldwin have formed a business enterprise to meet the growing need for emergency and safety awareness in local churches. Church Strong Consultants LLC features a seminar that emphasizes preparation, awareness, response, and teamwork. The six-hour seminar includes a manual and training at an affordable rate, especially designed for budget conscious churches and newer congregations. Murdoch and Baldwin are prevention specialists certified by the Ohio Crime Prevention Association. Interested churches can gain more information and contact the chaplains at www.churchstrongllc.com.
