ChurchPlanting_Inline_FullCHURCH PLANTING MEETING UPDATE
During a three-day meeting at the Regular Baptist Ministries Resource Center, ministry leaders from churches, mission agencies, and Regular Baptist Ministries made great strides in shaping a plan to help and encourage church planting by churches in our association.

Camaraderie, commitment, and clarity characterized ChurchPlanters_inlinethe group, consisting of Dave Burman, Jr., Council of Eightten church-planting committee member; Ken Davis, church planter with Baptist Mid-Missions and Baptist Bible Seminary Project Jerusalem director; Sam Farlow, church planter with ABWE and Council of Eighteen chairman of church-planting committee; John Greening, GARBC national representative; Scott Greening, church planter with Baptist Church Planters; Ken Floyd, Council of Eighteen chairman; Clare Jewell, church-planting regional coordinator with ABWE; and Michael Nolan, Baptist Builders Club director and GARBC treasurer.

Each participant walked away with follow-up tasks and a timetable for the tasks’ completion. Their work will be presented and the initiative will be discussed at the November 2015 Council of Eighteen meeting. Please pray for the church-planting meeting group and for pursuit of this Great Commission work in churches.

Thumbnail_CutoutCookieMAKING A CHRISTMAS TRADITION BETTER
Help make the holidays a little sweeter! Plan now to “cut out” a portion of your holiday giving to support one of the Regular Baptist ministries. Choose one of the designated Christmas projects to support as a family, as an individual, or as a church with your harvest or Christmas offering!

  • Regular Baptist International: School supplies—resources for a Kenya Christian school in Nairobi
  • Regular Baptist Chaplaincy: Encourage chaplains—support and resources for chaplains to assist them in service
  • Regular Baptist Churches: New signage for Resource Center—establish our identity in the community
  • Regular Baptist Builders Club: Plant a church—three years of assistance for new churches

Let us know today the project you plan to support and we’ll provide additional resources to promote the project.

MIDWEST CONGRESS OF BAPTIST FUNDAMENTALISTS
“Interpretation Matters: Affirming Our Dispensational Heritage” is the theme of the 2015 Midwest Congress of Baptist Fundamentalists Oct. 26 and 27 at Glacier Canyon Lodge in Wisconsin Dells. The Congress is a regional gathering of individuals who affirm essential Christian doctrine, fellowship in Baptist ecclesiology, and commit to the fundamentals of the gospel as the boundary of Christian fellowship. One of the uniting principles that Baptist fundamentalists share is the interpretive method of approaching the Holy Scriptures, reflected by the theme of the 2015 Congress. The Congress seeks to champion their uniting principles to today’s generation. For more information or to register, visit baptistcongress.org.

KEEPING OUR CHAPLAINS IN YOUR PRAYERSJensen_inline
Please remember all of our chaplains in your prayers—those serving in hospitals and other institutions, those serving our communities, and of course our military chaplains. In particular, please continue to pray for our deployed chaplains, John Jensen, who is serving in Kuwait, Brian Gibbons, currently at sea aboard the USS Rushmore, and Jonathan Court, who is serving in Southwest Asia.
