Conflicts in a person’s life can happen anywhere and can take on any form. Those we love and those around us experience conflicts too. So we do well to know how to deal with conflicts Biblically. Pursuing Peace turns people to the Word, relying “on the absolute authority, sufficiency, and life-giving power of God’s Spirit-breathed Word.” The material is Christ centered and practical, the author having had many years of pastoral and counseling experience to bring to his commentary.

The first chapters focus on God, Who is every person’s hope for peace. The book then presents God’s views concerning conflict, and therefore the need to keep Him central and to please Him. Then it moves to getting to the heart of human conflicts, owning up to our sins before the Savior, confessing our sins to those we have sinned against, putting on the clothing of Christ, forgiving, overcoming bitterness, knowing
when to confront/rebuke, reconciling with and serving others, and loving our enemies.

The book has Scripture and subject indexes.
