Harvest House, 206 Pages, Paper, $11.99

Two respected writers in the fields of apologetics and prophecy bring us up to date concerning today’s events in the light of Scripture, particularly happenings in the volatile Middle East. The book attempts to address many questions: Why does peace elude Arab nations and Israel? What part does Middle East oil play? Where does Iran fit into the scheme of things? What can we expect from a new breed of terrorists? What about the United States down the road? What about Russia?

This might be an especially good volume for new Christians, people who are just becoming aware of the Bible’s relevance in current affairs. It also should remind Americans that we are at war, though we’ve been largely lulled to sleep following the calamity of 9/11. Various facts presented are unpleasant, but they challenge the reader to face reality.
