“Together we can accomplish more” is an expression simply stated yet profoundly significant. Cooperation can produce powerful results. When churches determine to work together, their effectiveness increases by multiples.
The General Association of Regular Baptist Churches is a voluntary partnership of independent Baptist churches committed to the Great Commission mandate. Since its beginning in 1932, the GARBC has been synonymous with an allegiance to the Word of God, a focus on the local church, and a passion for worldwide evangelism.
The GARBC builds its movement on sound Biblical doctrine, separating from theological liberalism and compromising accommodation. The GARBC embraces a mission to:
- Champion Biblical truth—The Word of God is inherently powerful to save and equip those who respond in faith to its message (2 Timothy 3:15–17). We commit to communicating the whole counsel of God in its timeless relevance.
- Impact the world for Christ—The only message that will change the eternal destiny of the lost is the gospel. We determine to obey the Great Commission assignment of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18–20).
- Perpetuate a Baptist heritage—Biblical doctrine provides theological parameters that give direction and identity to individuals and churches. We faithfully promote our Scriptural legacy.
- Advance the association churches—God uses the church to do His work of evangelism and instruction. We seek to strengthen existing churches and to plant new ministries.
As a network of independent churches, the GARBC provides opportunities for churches to partner for initiatives such as church plants, missions consortiums, camping programs, literature distribution, ministry training, and international outreach. The association provides fellowshipping churches with quality resources, support services, and spiritual encouragement to carry out their ministries.
