After 32 years of military service, CDR Gerald Hamblin (CHC, USNR) has retired. A retirement ceremony was held April 10 at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington, D.C., where Hamblin served as the senior reserve chaplain. Along with family and friends in attendance were personnel from his various duty assignments, including the senior reserve chaplain for the Navy, Chaplain Admiral David Stinson. Individuals, families, and the college and career group hauled, sorted, wrapped, and tagged 272 bags of gifts for area children.
